Gail Perl

Gail Justus Perl, 81, of Van Wert, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Van Wert Manor.

He was born June 30, 1939 in Paulding County, Ohio to the late Richard Perl and LaVoon (Klingler) Perl Adams. On July 30, 1955 he married Judith Carol Cavinder who survives.

He worked at Paulding/Putnam (REA) Electric, in Paulding, for 30 years- retiring in 1999.

Gail is survived by his wife, Judy C. Perl of Van Wert; a son, Randy (Deb) Perl of Van Wert; a daughter, Pamela (Rex) Gray of Paulding; three half-brothers, Paul (Roberta) Perl of Van Wert, David Perl of Paulding, and Richard (Marsha) Perl of Paulding; a half-sister, Melody Peffley of Butler, Indiana; three grandchildren, Rex A. Gray, Jr of Paulding, Lacey G. Shemit of Paulding, and Jordan (Markee) Perl of Van Wert; and eleven great grandchildren, Allison, Olivia, Aubrie, Zander, Lyrik, Kyler, Levi, Marlee, Kennedy, Kinley and Kane.

In addition to his parents, Gail was proceeded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Grover and Myrtle Klingler; his step-father, Rex Adams; his step-mother, Fannie Perl; a brother, Robert Perl; two sisters, Rose Ellen Ross and Nancy Perl, in infancy; two half-brothers, Willard and Phillip Perl; and a half-sister, Phyllis Perl.

Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 AM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, 722 S. Washington Street, Van Wert.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding.
