Gary Germann

Gary Karl Germann, 61, died at 10:36 a.m. Jan. 28, 2013, at Toledo Medical Center in Toledo.
He was born Jan. 15, 1952, to the late Glen and Yvonne (Githens) Germann of rural Van Wert. Gary attended St. Thomas Parochial school and Lincolnview High School. He had resided at Northwest Ohio Developmental Center for 10 years and recently moved to Wiley Group Home in Toledo.
Survivors include two sisters: Jacqueline (John) Boss of Marion, Ohio, and Kathy (Bernie) Schaadt of Middle Point, Ohio; a very special aunt: Donna Githens of Wren, Ohio; a nephew: Brandon Schaadt, and three nieces: Lindsay Stutz, Jennifer Quelhorst and Jessica Boss.
He was loved by many and touched the hearts of those who cared for him; he will always be remembered for his laughter and love of life.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Timothy Sims will officiate. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, rural Van Wert County, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12 - 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the funeral home.
