Gary Haines

VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Gary Lynn Haines, 69, of Van Wert, died at 8:07 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
He was born Aug. 11, 1944, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Janet (Murphy) Haines and Leo Haines.
His life partner, Judy Boyd, survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include children: Jonathan Scott Haines of Hanoverton, Ohio, two aunts: Jane Murphy and Bea Haines, both of Van Wert, and an uncle: Deo Haines of Van Wert.
From 1963-1968, Gary worked for Penn Camera in industrial sales. From 1968-1985, he worked at Kadet Photo in international industrial sales. From 1985-1992, he owned and operated Gary's Photo in Van Wert.
Gary graduated from Lima Senior High, Lima, Ohio, in 1962. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1962-1963. He was a member of the Van Wert Post American Legion, V.F.W. and the Middle Point Amvets. Gary enjoyed playing pool, cards, bowling and photography.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Gus Christo-Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, with military graveside services by the Van Wert American Legion and VFW Posts.
Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at the funeral home.
