Geneva Ellis

Geneva A. "Jenny" Ellis, 87, of Van Wert, died at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Van Wert Manor.
She was born November 10, 1928, in Scott, the daughter of Ward L. and Grace O. (Kuhn) Decker, who both preceded her in death. She married Robert C. Ellis, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four children, Robert (Norma) Stuckey, Michael (Helen) Darras, Charles (Nancy) Darras, and Robert (Lisa) Ellis, all of Van Wert; a stepdaughter, Barbara Pier of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one brother, Rex Decker of Bandera, Texas; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Bryne; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two special nieces, Shelley Ball and Stacie Millikan.
Two stepdaughters, Donna Lemmon and Judy Clouse; a brother, James Decker; and two sisters, Almeda Simpson and Patricia Bryne, also preceded him in death.
Jenny was a cashier at Derry Drugs for 16 years and a waitress at the Motor Inn for 12 years. She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 5803.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
