Genevieve Siebert

Genevieve L. Siebert, 90, of Rockford, Ohio, died at 5:40 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford. She was born on March 27, 1923, in Liberty Township, Mercer County, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel and Lela (Myers) Leininger. On July 20, 1946, she married Donald E. Siebert, who preceded in death on November 11, 2002. She worked at what is now the Mercer County Farm Service Agency in Celina, before becoming a bookkeeper at Middendorf Stockyards, Celina, where she worked for over 25 years. She also worked beside her husband, Don, with the farming. She lived in the area all her life and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Church of God, Celina, Ohio Surviving is one son, Gary Siebert of Rockford, one daughter, Janice (Norman) Holcomb, New Bremen, Ohio, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a brother, Gene Leininger. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning, April 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Richard VanHorn officiating. Burial will be in Buck Cemetery, Frahm Pike, Celina, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Mt. Tabor Church of God or to the donor's choice.
