George Eugene Bostick, 91, of Convoy, Ohio passed away on November 19, 2017 at Vancrest of Convoy.
He was born September 10, 1926, in Mystic, CT, the only child of George W. Bostick and Elizabeth S. (Sheets) Miller, who both preceded him in death. On July 14, 1950, he married Ramona Mae Landrum, who passed away on March 25, 2017.
George is survived by his sons, Chris (Neva) Bostick of Washington, Mike (Eileen) Bostick, Chuck (Jennifer) Bostick both of Alaska and his daughter, Cindy (Marc) Grubaugh of Convoy; grandchildren, Tonya, Ricky, Chad, Whitney, Jaquelyn, George, Everett and Kameron; 8 great grandchildren; sister in law, Patricia (Charles) Putman; and brother in law, Gary (Nancy) Foley.
George was a veteran of WW II, Korea and Vietnam, serving in the United States Army Air Corps from 1945-1948 (renamed the United States Air Force in 1947). He later enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1955-1975. He started his second career as a Teamster- first as a bus driver in Alaska and once back home in Ohio as a truck driver for International Harvester/Navistar and later delivered motor homes for Fleetwood in Decatur, Indiana. George loved the road and the people he met along the way.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #178, V.F.W. Post #5803, the Shriners and Masonic Lodge.
A joint memorial service with the love of his life, Ramona, will be planned for a later date.
