VAN WERT, Ohio - Georgia Pauline Miller, beloved mother, 87, of Van Wert, died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at her daughter's residence in Mesquite, Texas.
She was born Dec. 30, 1923, in Van Wert, to the late Verna (Hammons) Schwartz and Dewey Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Miller, in 1989.
Survivors include her children: Sandra (Bub) Butler of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Sally (Ron) Partridge of Mesquite, Texas; a sister: Virginia Johnson of Van Wert; her grandchildren: Debra (Butler) Heller, Jim (Mona) Butler and Al Butler, all of Ft. Wayne, Connie (Tommy) Stogdill of Mesquite, Texas, and Terry (Richard) Johnson of Terrell, Texas; her great-grandchildren: Brandon Heller, Adam Miller, Bryon Butler, Cassie Butler, Amanda Butler, Jorgia Butler, Tammy (Nate) Shawver, Stephanie Boyer, Cpl. Tommy (Jamie) Stogdill, Jr., Cpl. Jonathan Cook, Lcpl. Ashley McGrath, Anthony Cook, Brittiny Cook, and her great-great-grandchildren: Gionni Heller, Jax Heller, Korbyn Butler, Kaden Boyer, Maci Boyer, Hailey Boyer, Nathan Shawver, Jr., Carson Shawver, Ronald McGrath III and Julie Cook.
She was a member of First United Brethern in Christ Church, Van Wert, and a homemaker. She loved traveling, gardening, fishing, animals and her grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio. Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 15 at the funeral home.
