VAN WERT, Ohio - Geraldine J. Meyer, 87, of Van Wert, died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Van Wert Manor, Van Wert.
She was born Aug. 11, 1925, in Auglaize County, Ohio, to the late Gladys (Cochlin) Yinger and John Yinger.
Her husband, Urban J. Meyer, died Nov. 9, 1987.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law: Karen (Ken) Stanley of Van Wert; sister: Twilah (Al) Eubanks of Urbana, Ohio; sister-in-law: Lois Yinger of Wapakoneta, Ohio; grandchild: Stacy (Paul) Burns of Orlando, Fla., and great-grandchildren: Michael and Elise Burns.
She was preceded in death by a son: Ralph E. Meyer, two brothers: Roland and Billy Yinger, and two sisters: Alice Tangeman and one sister who died in infancy.
She retired in 1987 after 21 years of service at Kennedy Kit Manufacturing, Van Wert.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Loramie Valley Cemetery in Botkins, Ohio.
Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the funeral home.
