Glen Edwin Miller, 96, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away at 3:20 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford. He was born on May 21,1918, in Celina, Ohio, Mercer County, to Charles and Estella Cora Wolfe. On January 18, 1941, he married Dorothy Emma Sealscott, and she preceded in death on April 27, 1993. Glen was a WWII Army veteran, and a lifelong farmer. He was Sexton of Riverside Cemetery in Rockford for many years, and was also a butcher in Rockford and Coldwater, Ohio. He had lived in the Rockford area all his life and was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Glen D. Eckhart Post #508 of the American Legion in Rockford. Surviving is one daughter, Judy (John) Farmer of Rockford, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Miller, of Rockford. Deceased in addition to his wife Dorothy, is his son, Glen Miller, Jr., a grandson, and his brother, Lloyd A. Miller. Services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014, at 10:30 AM at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Rockford American Legion Post #508. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m., and on Monday, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the Mercer County Chapter of the Gideons.
