Glenn Neer

MIDDLE POINT, Ohio a�" Glenn A. Neer, 83, of Middle Point, died at 10:57 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at Vancrest of Delphos, Ohio.
He was born Feb. 25, 1931, in Middle Point, to the late Mamie (Johnson) Neer and Hugh A. Neer.
His wife, M. Joann (Baer) Neer, survives of Middle Point.
Other survivors include one child: Kimala Strickler of Middle Point; a sister: Peggy (Robert) Etgen of Middle Point; grandchild: Tammy (Brien) Corzine of Middle Point, and great-grandchildren: Andrew, Jenna, and Krista Corzine.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Barry Strickler; brothers: Merkle Neer and Harold Neer; sister: Helen Hoghe, and stepgrandchildren: Eric Strickler and Hollie Strickler.
He retired from Continental Can Company, Van Wert. He was a former member of Middle Point Methodist Church. A veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict, he was a member of Van Wert American Legion.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Harry Tolhurst will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is donor's choice.
