Gloria Adelblue

Gloria A. Adelblue, 65, of Van Wert, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011, at her residence. She was born January 27, 1946, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Ralph F. and Katherine W. (Brake) Mosure. On July 23, 1965, she married Charles M. Adelblue, who survives in Van Wert. Mrs. Adelblue had worked as a secretary to the Van Wert High School principal for two years, then for Appraisal Research in Findlay for two years, before taking a job with the Van Wert County Auditor's Office, where she worked for 35 years, up until her retirement. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Van Wert. In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth J. "Beth" (Scott) Selhorst of Dayton; one sister, Sandra S. Lahmon of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren, Brianna, Kyle, Joelle and Jared Selhorst, all of Dayton; a nephew; and four nieces. A sister, Pam Oechsle, also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 5, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Phil Zielinski officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert. Calling hours are from 2-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Vann Wert and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
