VAN WERT, Ohio - Gloria "June" Bechtol, 79, of Van Wert, died Sunday evening, Nov. 10, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Van Wert. She was preceded in death by her mother: Marcile (Parks) Hall, stepmother: Kathryn Halliwill, father: Gaylord Halliwill, and stepfather: Charles Hall. Her husband, Donald E. Bechtol, also preceded her in death. They were married March 3, 1957.
Survivors include her children: Timothy (Sandy) Bechtol of Van Wert and Linda Bechtol of Denver, Colo., brother: Charles (Pat) Halliwill of Scott, Ohio, and grandchild: Bailey Nicole Herrmann.
She retired from Eaton, Van Wert, after 40 years of service and was a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center or donor's choice.
