Harold Etgen

CONVOY, Ohio - Harold R. Etgen, 76, of Convoy, died at 3:13 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
He was born Jan. 29, 1935, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to the late Mary Etgen and A.J. Etgen. His wife, Rosanna (Purk) Etgen, survives of Convoy.
Other survivors include a son: Scot Alan (Karen) Etgen of Convoy; a sister: Marilyn (Richard) Brabant of Delphos, Ohio; a grandchild: Taylor Etgen, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Etgen, and three sisters: Velma Leaser, Mildred Dilbone and Gloria Bayman.
He was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church, Convoy, and retired in 1998 as a machinist from Aeroquip Corporation, Van Wert, Ohio. He was a veteran of United States Army, a member of Convoy Fox Hunters and a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 27 at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy. The Rev. Greg Leigh assisted by the Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Convoy. Calling hours are 9-11 a.m. Friday, May 27 at the funeral home in Convoy.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
