Helen Anderson

Helen C. Anderson, 86, of Van Wert passed away at 6:38 PM on Wednesday, October 05, 2022 at OSU Wexner Medical Center. She was born on October 31, 1935, in Van Wert, to the late Floyd and Milfred (Wolfcale) Book. On July 12, 1969, she married James Anderson. Together they shared many years of memories.

Helen was a 1953 graduate of Convoy Union High School. She went on to retire from the billing department of Van Wert County Hospital after many years. Helen was also a longtime member of Convoy United Methodist Church.

Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting ceramics and shopping, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, James Anderson of Van Wert; son, Kevin Jerome of Venedocia; daughter, Lisa (Bruce) Diment of Van Wert; stepdaughter, Vicki (Gayle) Williams of Van Wert; sister, Wanda Gilbert of Monroeville, IN; grandchildren: Dustin (Ashley) Jewell of Monroeville, IN; Tiffany (Andy) Sidle of Convoy; Katie (Paul) Barton of Convoy; Jeremy Hanicq of Scott; step grandchildren: Krysten Menke of Van Wert; Shane Menke of Scott; Eastin (Kiersten) Lautzenheiser of Roanoke, IN; Breylin (Madison) Lautzenheiser of Fort Wayne; as well as 22 great grandchildren with one more on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Private services will be held with immediate family at a later date.
