Helen E. Dotson, 89, of Wetzel, died at 2:47 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
She was born April 11, 1928, in Paulding County, Ohio, to Madeline (Golliver) McClure and Ray McClure. Her parents are deceased.
Her husband, Jim Dotson, is deceased.
Survivors include her children, Diane (Walter) VanCleave of Middle Point, Ohio, Brad (Judy) Dotson of Ft. Jennings, Ohio; grandchildren, Holly (Cliff) Wieging of Ft. Jennings, Ohio, Lisa (Billy) Knoll, Jamie (Staci) Dotson and Jennifer Dotson, all of Van Wert, Ohio, Josh (Afton) Dotson of Huber Heights; Katlyn Dotson of Middle Point, Ohio, and great-grandchildren, Alex and Eric Wieging, Gabe and Brayden Evans, Kelsey, Logan, Trey and Trevor Dotson, Jacob and Lilly Dotson, Nevaeh Merritte and Conner Watkins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Allen McClure, and a sister, Janet Harpster.
She worked for many years at Van Wert Manufacturing making FFA jackets and also worked at Weatherhead in Antwerp, Ohio.
Service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. The Rev. Hal Shafer will officiate. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Grover Hill EMS or Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
