VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Helen B. "Bonnie" Oakley, 94, of Van Wert, died at 5:04 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Van Wert, to the late Emma Louise (Courtney) Fawcett and Ansel Fawcett.
Her husband, Ferman A. Oakley, died July 31, 2010. They were married Aug. 28, 1940.
Survivors include a grandchild: Michael Lee Oakley of Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by a son: Gary Lee Oakley, and one brother.
She was a homemaker and a charter member of Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert. She was a member of Animal Protective League and Gleaners Sunday School Class of the church. The family would like thank all the fantastic caregivers at the end of Bonnie's life.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Pastor Clark Williman will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
