Iona Hagenno
January 25, 1919 — July 31, 2014
Iona "Blanche" Hagenno, 95, of Van Wert, OH, and formerly of Peotone, IL, passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Vancrest Healthcare Center, Van Wert, Ohio.
Hagenno was born on January 25, 1919, in Gilman, IL to Charles and Sarah (Reed) Whitlow, both of whom are deceased. On August 17, 1940, she married Robert Hagenno who survives in Van Wert.
She is also survived by her daughters, Nancy Agler of Van Wert and Barbara Hunt of Medina, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kelly Agler of Van Wert, Brent (Lori) Agler of Van Wert, and Jessica (Mike) Lampshire of Medina; six great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Hagenno was preceded in death by two sisters and a son-in-law, Joseph Agler.
Visitation will take place from 12p.m.- 2 p.m. on Monday, August 4, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 4 at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Miller officiating. A burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
