Irene Eisenhauer

VAN WERT, Ohio - Irene Eisenhauer of Van Wert, died at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Vancrest Healthcare Center, Van Wert.
She was born May 26, 1923, in Portland , Ind., to the late Hazel (Black) Thompson and Marvin Thompson.
Her husband, William A. Eisenhauer, died Dec. 22, 1990. They were married June 26, 1965.
Several nieces and nephews survive, including nephew Leigh Eisenhauer of Van Wert, Ohio. Her longtime caregiver was Marilee (Art) Yoh of Van Wert.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Clifford and William Thompson.
She formerly worked at Portland Forge in Portland, Ind. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert, Willow Bend Country Club in Van Wert, Van Wert Chapter of the DAR, and former member of the Van Wert Woman's Club. She was a member of the TWIGs group and worked at the Hospital Thrift Store.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at the funeral home.
