Irvin Densel

Irvin Mearl Densel, 72, of Van Wert, passed away on Tuesday October 1 at his residence. He was born October 24, 1946 to the late Elmer and Edith (Egly) Densel. In the Spring of 1968, Irvin began his 8 year term in the Army, fighting in the Vietnam War. Upon returning to Van Wert, he worked for multiple factories including GREIF inc.
Irvin was a member of the Van Wert Eagles, Moose Lodge 1320, and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Surviving are his children, Irvin Mearl Densel Jr., and Jill P. Densel; brothers Roy Densel and Carl Densel; grandchildren Jackie Girardot, Bailee Ramirez, Audrianna Ramirez, Erika Stuckey, and Logan Stuckey; and great-grandchildren, Titus Ward Girardot, and Athena Lynn Girardot, all of Van Wert.

Irvin is preceded in death by his parents; wife Sandra K. (King) Densel; daughter Leah M. Stuckey; brothers Grover Lee Densel and Tommy Joe Densel; sister Carolyn Sue; and grandsons Bobby Joe Densel, and James Ramirez.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at 1 PM at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert. Military honors will follow, rendered by the combined units of the Van Wert American Legion and VFW.
