J. Nickolas "Nick" Detwiler, 46, of Ohio City, died at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at his residence. He was born Sept. 11, 1969, in Van Wert, Ohio, to the late Dixie (Rise) Detwiler and Joseph N. Detwiler, Sr.
His wife, Angela (High) Detwiler, survives of Ohio City.
Other survivors include children, Kody Detwiler, Kory Detwiler, and Kainen Detwiler, all of Ohio City, and one daughter, Madison, who survives at home in Ohio City; brother, Norm (Pam) Detwiler of Van Wert; sisters, Joyce (Dennis) Thatcher and Johnna (Greg) Roberts, both of Van Wert, and one grandchild, Jadence Colleen Detwiler.
He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Royce and Carolyn High of Ohio City; sisters-in-law: Kimberly (Donnie) Harter of Ohio City, and Charity (Dave) Pontsler of Rockford, Ohio; brother-in-law: Eric High of Dacula, Georgia; many nieces, nephews, and his beloved cat, Domino.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey N. Detwiler.
He worked at Elkhart Plastics, Ohio City, and also worked as a journeyman plumber for many years.
Everyone is invited to join the family immediately following the visitation Friday for food and fellowship at the Ohio City Church of God, 204 E. Carmean St., Ohio City, Ohio 45874. Visitation is 1 - 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.
