Jack Gunsett

Jack N. Gunsett, 58, of Convoy, died at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born March 24, 1957, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Joan (Sowers) Gunsett, who survives of Convoy, and the late John Gunsett. His wife, Susan R. (LaRue) Gunsett, survives of Convoy. They were married July 12, 1975.
Other survivors include children, Kelly (Chad) Marks of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Craig Gunsett and Gary Gunsett, both of Van Wert; brothers-in-law, Steve LaRue of Arizona, and Chris (Julie) LaRue of Convoy, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Peggy (Ed) Fritz of Woodburn, Indiana, Jean (Scott) Dickman and Jill (Don) Carrier, both of Convoy; father-in-law, Richard LaRue; numerous nieces and nephews, and grandchildren, Dylan and Jenna Marks.
He was preceded in death by a son, Derek Gunsett, and his mother-in-law, Marlyn LaRue.
He worked at Aeroquip/Eaton Corporation, Van Wert, for 28 years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Convoy. Jack was a 1975 Crestview High School graduate, member of Convoy Fox Hunter's Club; and was a United States Navy veteran entering service in 1975 for eight years achieving the rank of 1st Class Petty Officer, AD1 Air Crew, Aviation Machinist Mate. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and cooking.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michael Saylor will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Convoy. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at Gearhart-Jurczyk Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Preferred memorial is Redeemer Lutheran Church for the upcoming youth trip or Convoy EMS.
