James Beougher

James "Jim" Beougher, 70, of Mercer, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 11:15 AM at his residence. Jim was born on November 3, 1943 to Paul and Mable (Piper) Beougher in Mercer. He was formerly married to Clara (Bruns) Beougher and she survives in Rockford. Jim was a life-long resident of the area. He attended Rockford Schools and was a press operator at S&K Metal Products of Coldwater. Jim enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Willshire Sportsman's Club. He was also a social member of the Willshire American Legion Post #207. Throughout the years, Jim tested his skills at gambling and tried his hand at lottery scratch-off tickets. Surviving Jim are his children: Lisa Beougher, Rockford, Ohio; Terry Beougher, Mercer, Ohio; Tonya Schumm, Rockford, Ohio; and Jodi (Nick) Hirschy, Monroe, Indiana. Also surviving are brothers: Jerry (Ann) Beougher, Convoy, Ohio; Dick Beougher, Celina, Ohio; and sisters: Rose (Junior) Lawrence, Mercer, Ohio; Bonnie Beougher, Cincinnati, Ohio. Jim was a loving grandfather to 6 grandchildren: Brett and Dylan Beougher; Makenna and Mason Schumm; Emma and Chandler Hirschy. Services for Jim will be held at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Ernie Suman officiating. Friends and family may pay their respects from 1:00 until 4:00 PM on Saturday. Memorial donations may be made to the Community Health Professionals of Van Wert, Ohio or to the family.
