James Haigh

VAN WERT - James R. Haigh, 67, of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born June 25, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to Arnold F. and Christina (Mitchell) Haigh, both of whom are deceased. He married Geri (Schutzman) Haigh on November 9, 1968 and she survives.
Haigh is also survived by his sons, Jason (Michelle) Haigh of Richmond, KY. and Jon (Rachel) Haigh of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and grandchildren, Logan, Chelsea, Dalton, Jeremy, Jillian, Zachary and Tyler Haigh.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold Haigh, Jr., and a sister, Elizabeth Haigh.
Haigh was a retired Production Manager from Continental Structural Plastics (formerly Budd Company) of Van Wert, Ohio. He was also a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church, veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War, member and Past Exalted Ruler of Van Wert Elks Lodge, a member of Van Wert Knights of Columbus, and a member of Willow Bend Country Club.
Visitation will take place from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 15 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. An Elks service will be held at 6 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 16 at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert with Father Stan Szybka officiating.
Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.
