Jane Eisley Shindollar, 92 of Mendon, passed away at 1:30 AM on January 14, 2015 at the Laurels of Shane Hill nursing home. She was born to Harold S. and Velma (Griffin) Eisley in Spencerville, Ohio on March 5, 1922. Jane was a 1940 graduate of Spencerville High School. She married Warren Shindollar on May 23, 1942 and moved to Mendon, Ohio. Warren died on June 14, 1998. Jane was a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church where she was a very active member and in charge of the Communion services. She was a member of the State and National Republican Women's Club. She was a member of the Eastern Stars. Jane also served the Village of Mendon as the Village Clerk for 20 years. She worked part-time in the Mercer County Recorder's Office in Celina. Jane loved doing arts and crafts. She was an avid gardener, having created and maintained the loveliest garden in Mendon. Surviving Jane are two sons: David J. (Marge) Shindollar of Wapakoneta, Ohio and Jon E. (Patricia) Shindollar of Troy, Ohio. One brother, Joe G. Eisley of Chelsea, Michigan survives. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Mathew (Christie) Shindollar, Sara (Michael) Kill, Lauren (Isaiah) Ward, Garrett Shindollar and five great grandchildren: Bennett Kill, Graham Kill, Jack Shindollar, Cora Shindollar and Reid Kill. One sister-in-law, Marilyn Eisley, preceded her in death. Services for Jane will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Don Clinger officiating. The service will be at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, Ohio. Burial will follow at the German Zion Cemetery on Eisley Road, Kossuth, Ohio. Family and friends may call on the family from 9:00 until 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may directed to the State of the Heart Hospice in honor of Jane.
