VAN WERT, Ohio--Jaxton Dereck Maunz, 3 months old, of Van Wert, died at 9:55 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was born February 1, 2014, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the son of Jaclyn Whitt and Erick Maunz, who both survive in Van Wert.
Other survivors include maternal grandparents Sondra and Pervis Whitt of Van Wert; paternal grandparents Pam and Brad Thornburg and Brad and Gail Maunz of Van Wert and Ron and Ruth Thornburgh of Crossville, Tenn.; great-grandparents Karl Maunz of Ohio, Ron and Pam Neate of Van Wert and Shirley Cobb of Dothan, Ala.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday, May 13, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Dr. Joseph Harr officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
