VAN WERT, Ohio - Jeanne L. Koch, 79, of Van Wert, died Monday, June 13, 2011, at Kingston Nursing Home, Miamisburg, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Midland, Mich., to the late Cora (Somerville) Winkler and Herman H. Winkler. Her husband, Kenneth K. Koch, died in 2000. They were married in 1983.
Survivors include her stepchildren: Charles (Karen) Koch of Van Wert and Karen (Marshall) Berger of Canton, Conn.; one brother: Thom (Sheila) Winkler of Arlington, Va.; a sister: Marian (Arnice) Dexler of Saginaw, Mich.; three stepgrandchildren: Heather Valentie; Lauren Berger and Justin Berger, and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepson: Douglas Koch, a brother: Herman H. Winkler, III and a sister: Ruth Anderson.
She attended First Baptist Church, Van Wert.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Steve Robinson will officiate.
Calling is 10-11 a.m. Monday, June 20 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are Equestrian Therapy Program, Lima, Ohio, or Van Wert County Humane Society or Alzheimer Research Foundation.
