Jeffery Jones

Jeffery L. Jones of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Convoy, Ohio, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, in Marion, Indiana.
He was born Oct. 10, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Marietta (Council) Jones and Charles Jones.
His wife, Susan U. (Peplinski) Jones, died April 28, 2012.
Survivors include children, Heather (Juan) Garcia of Archbold, Ohio, and Carrie (Scott) Martin of Viera, Florida; brothers, Charles (Susan) Jones of Michigan, James (Sharon) Jones of Michigan, Gary Jones of Indiana, and Kevin (Roxanne) Jones of Michigan; sisters, Laura (Lawrence) Renert of Florida, and Janet Jones of Michigan, Ruth (Timothy) Reid of Indiana; half sisters, Carmen Haltermon and Jackie Parker, and grandchildren, Chase Lambert, Garret Lambert, Sonny Garcia, Juan Garcia, Taylor and Brenden Martin.
He was preceded in death by two children, Eric and Ryan Jones, and brothers, Leroy Jones and George Jones.
He retired from General Motors in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member U.A.W. Local 2209.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Jay Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Convoy.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is the American Kidney Foundation.
