Jeffrey Garwood

VAN WERT, Ohio — Jeffrey L. Garwood of Van Wert, died at 12:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, Ohio.
He was born Dec. 31, 1962, in Van Wert, to Hazel (Rhodenbaugh) Garwood, who survives of Van Wert, and Doyle Garwood, who is deceased.
Other survivors include his children, Jared Garwood and Brittnie Garwood, both of Van Wert, and his sisters, Lori Garwood and Shelley Garwood, both of Van Wert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Doyle Garwood.
He retired from Teleflex Corporation, Van Wert. He was a 1981 graduate of Van Wert High School where he wrestled for the Cougars. He enjoyed NASCAR, Ohio State football and, most importantly, his family. Jeff did not know a stranger.
Service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Stuart Wyatt will officiate. Burial will be in Lehman Cemetery, Payne, Ohio.
Visitation is 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at the funeral home.
