He was born to Harold P. and Leahline (Case) Schumm on November 27, 1955, in Decatur, Indiana. On December 4, 1976, he married Karen Mathewson, and she survives. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at the Zion Evangelical Church, Schumm Road, Schumm, Ohio, with Pastor Jeff Patterson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, on Tuesday, from 2-8 p.m., and at the church on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
