Joan Zinn

Joan M. Zinn, 87 died at 8:15 pm, Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the James Cancer Hospital. She was born

April 5, 1931, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Harold and Mabel (Harris) McNamara. On

June 17, 1950, in Convoy, she married Robert W. Zinn who preceded her in death on September 9,

2002.

Mrs. Zinn retired in 1993 from Teleflex, Inc. after working 25 years in the production control and

accounting offices. She was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church in Van Wert County

and a member of the former Pleasant Grange.

She is survived by a son, Randy (Barbara) Zinn of Bloomington, Ind.; one daughter, Julie Zinn, of Van Wert; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Andreas) Seiboth of Bad Windsheim, Germany, Laura Zinn of Bloomington, Indiana and Alex (Sarah) Zinn of Panama City, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Emilia, Isabella and Olivia Seiboth and Zander Zinn; and a brother-in-law, Lavern Klausing of Van Wert. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Klausing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20th at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Ron Lumm officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, OH. Calling hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
