John Fickert

John E. Fickert, 53, of Rockford, Ohio, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at 12:52 p.m. at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert, Ohio. He was born March 5, 1957 in Celina, Ohio, to Ralph O. and Janet L. (Winemiller) Fickert. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and was employed by PTL Trucking, Murray, Kentucky. Surviving are his mother, Janet L. Fickert, of Celina, Ohio; one daughter, Elisha (Bart) Kuhn, of Rockford; one brother, Jeff (Tracie) Fickert, of Hollansburg, Ohio; and one grandson, Hunter Germann, of Rockford. Deceased is his father, Ralph, and a brother, Timmy Fickert. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in North Grove Cemetery, Celina, Ohio, with Military Rites by the Celina V.F.W. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., and on Friday, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to OIDA Trucking Association P.O.
