John R. Fulk, 79, of Ohio City, died at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was born Sept. 10, 1937, in Oak Hill, Ohio. His parents, Mildred (Craft) Fulk and Carl Robert Fulk, preceded him in death.
His wife, Linda (Ryan) Fulk, survives of Ohio City, Ohio. They were married Jan. 20, 1984.
Other survivors include children, Lorie (Steven) Myers of Lancaster, South Carolina, John Ray Fulk of Lima, Ohio, Timothy Robert (Rebecca) Fulk of Paulding, Ohio, Michael Larry (Barbara) Fulk of Van Wert, Ohio, and Carrie (Josh) Deamicis of Ohio City; a brother, Arnold (Linda) Fulk of Cecil, Ohio; sisters, Ruby Woods of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Brenda (Lewis) Belcher of Oak Hill, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roger, Mickey, Wendell and Tom Fulk, and a sister, Roberta Fulk.
He retired from Lafarge Corporation, Paulding, Ohio. He enjoyed wood carving, throwing horseshoes, playing corn hole and spending time with his grandchildren.
Service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Convoy United Methodist Church, Convoy, Ohio. The Rev. Melissa Steinecker will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Convoy.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert County Humane Society.
