Johnathan Murphy

Johnathan R. Murphy Jr., 34, of Van Wert passed away Sunday evening, December 8, 2019.
He was born on February 11, 1985 to Johnathan Murphy Sr. and Tammy Cugliari.
Johnathan enjoyed photography and being in nature, especially fishing. He was a member of Hope Chapel, and worked for the Salvation Army over the holiday season.

His surviving family includes: his parents; Johnathan Murphy Sr. (Chelsea Keith), Christina Murphy and Tammy (Paul) Cugliari, daughter; Madison Murphy, brothers; Jacob Murphy, Joseph Murphy (Nykeely Billingham), Austin Murphy, Thomas Murphy, and Brandon Davis, maternal grandmother/mother; MarLou Mengerink, paternal grandparents; John T. (Ina Jean) Murphy, Sharon (Robert "Red") Barnes, aunts; Robin Mengerink (Tracy Rase), Darcy Kohler (Hobie McKeddie), Katina Murphy, uncles; Monroe (Vicki) Murphy, Allan Murphy, and Scott Murphy, seven nephews, many cousins, and best friend; Spencer Wenninger. Johnathan is also survived by his faithful, four-legged friend, Stormy.

Preceding him in death are a grandfather, Robert Mengerink, a great-grandmother, Ruth Saylor, and uncles; Vince Murphy, Brian Murphy, and Shane Murphy.

A time of remembrance for Johnathan will be held at a later date. Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
