Jonathan G. Brock, 69, of Van Wert went to be with his Lord 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born August 24, 1947, in Hartford City, Indiana, to Guy J. Brock, who preceded him in death, and Blanche (Buffenbarger) Butler, who survives in Ossian, Indiana.
He married Dianne M. (Boyd) Brock on April 9, 1999. She survives in Van Wert.
Survivors are his children, Ruth Ann Brock of Van Wert, Heather (Ronald) Harsh of Paulding and Beth Anne (Henry) Brooks of Van Wert; sister, Ardella Nettle of Decatur, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
He was a truck driver for many years with ELS Freight in Cloverdale, Ohio, and GLM Transport before retiring. John is now driving his big rig in the sky for Jesus.
He attended Grace Bible Church.
John served his country as a Navy Sea-bee during Vietnam. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed genealogy and spending time with his family and friends.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at the funeral home with the Rev. Stuart Wyatt officiating.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the family for expenses.
