Josephine Muhlenkamp

Josephine J. Muhlenkamp, 82 of Rockford, Ohio, died at 8:50 AM on Thursday, May 08, 2014 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio. She was born December 28, 1931 in Rockford to Wesley and Ica (Matthews) Custer. She married Robert Muhlenkamp on April 19, 1952. Robert passed away on June 5, 2011. Josephine graduated from Rockford High School. She then worked for Huffy's Corporation for 33 years. Josephine was a member of the Grace EUB church and then a member of Rockford United Methodist Church. She lived in Rockford her entire life. Surviving are 2 sons and 3 daughters: Jennifer (Rich) Miller, Rockford, OH; Ginger (Doug) Lehman, Celina, OH; Michael (Angela) Muhlenkamp, Pacifica, CA; Gloria (Craig) Valentine, Celina, OH; and Scott (Lisa) Muhlenkamp, Celina, OH. 2 sisters survive: Bonnie (Bill) Ehrsam, Monroe, IN and Bonita (Lester) Myers, Convoy, OH. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Erik and Shannon Miesse; Kirk and Amy Lehman; Gabe and Amy Lehman; Sarah Valentine, Gina Valentine, Drew Valentine and Denise Ware. One grand-daughter, Kati Lehman, preceded Josephine in death. Josephine also enjoyed her 11 Great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, OH on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Chip Steffy will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, May, 11th from 3:00 until 8:00 PM. They may also call 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Josephine to the American Heart Association.
