Josephine Sheets

Josephine Sheets, 74, of Van Wert passed away at 5:47 AM on March 01, 2020 at Van Wert Health Emergency Room. She was born on March 02, 1945, in Van Wert, to the late Clearnce and Mary Ellen (Seekings) Hurley. Josephine graduated from Van Wert High School and went on to marry Harold Sheets. Together, they shared many years of memories.

She was a member of the First Church of God in Van Wert and of the Fox Hunters Club of Convoy. Josephine enjoyed to cross-stitch, crochet and tend to her flowers and garden. She loved the outdoors and fishing, where she always tried to out do her son. Josephine was also an wonderful cook and baker who cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Kerry (Scott) Brown and David Sheets; grandson, Jacob Sheets; sister, Mary O'Daffer; brother, Roy Hurley; sisters-in-law: Esther Hilton, Ethel Reynolds; niece, Lisa Perry and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; grandsons, Dave Sheets, Jr and Dewayne Sheets; Sister, Pat Bighaum; mother-in-law and father-in-law, and sister-in-law, Nancy Hilton.

Josephine will be cremated according to her wishes, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Josephine gave the Gift of Life through Organ and Tissue donation.
