VAN WERT, Ohio - Karen K. Boroff, 64, of Van Wert, died at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Ind.
She was born Aug. 21, 1946, in LaPorte, Ind., to the late Jean L. (Ellis) Parker and Elbert O. Parker. Her husband, Richard E. Boroff, survives of Van Wert.
Other survivors include her children: Rick (Bev) Boroff of Van Wert, Rod Boroff of Madison, Ala, and Randy (Stephanie) Boroff of Van Wert, a sister: Elizabeth Ann (Bill) Greene of Convoy, Ohio, and her grandchildren: Danielle (Kevin) Longstreth, Breanna Boroff, Mark Boroff, Mari Boroff, Ryan Boroff and Taylar Boroff.
She was a member of the former Ridge United Methodist Church, Middle Point, Ohio; attended Trinity United Methodist Church. She retired from Federal Mogul, Van Wert. She was a member of Middle Point Red Hat Floozies and a life member of Van Wert V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She regularly attended "The Lunch Bunch" and was a member of the Escapees and Good Sam R.V. Clubs. She loved quilting, camping and reading.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Tim Burden will officiate. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery, Paulding County, Ohio.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 10 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Food Bank.
