Karenann Winters, 76, of Grover Hill, OH, formerly of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away on April 02, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on January 24, 1945, in Passaic, NJ, to the late Charles and Viola (Mayer) Murray.
On May 21, 1966, she married the love of her life, Robert C. Winters, who passed away
December 21, 2015. Karenann worked for many years as secretary for Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hackettstown, NJ. She and her husband moved to Grover Hill, Ohio in 2015.
A devoted member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Karenann was also an active member of the Paulding County Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the hospital gift shop. She was a genealogy enthusiast and an animal lover. She enjoyed taking cruises and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Sherryl (Howard) Proctor of Haviland, OH; Kelly Dube of Dingmans Ferry, PA; and Bonnie Winters of Sparta, NJ; brother, Robert (JoAnne) Murray of Reeder, PA; sisters-in-law: Eleanor (Harry) Fodor of Overland Park, KS; Carol (Leonard) deGroot of Bordentown, NJ; grandchildren: Matthew (Aryn) Proctor; Zachary Proctor; Carissa, Kailee and Colton Dube; Kira and Emily Constantine; great-grandchildren: Josephine and Abbey Proctor; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 417 North Main Street Paulding, Ohio 45879; Father Frederick Duschl celebrant.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, 722 S. Washington Street, Van Wert, OH 45891.
While family and friends are invited to attend Karenann's services, we continue to be cautious and concerned for our most vulnerable friends and loved ones. We request attendees respect the well-being of the family and friends. Attendees are required to observe social distancing, refrain from close physical contact, and wear facial coverings.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Karenann`s memory may be sent to Divine Mercy Catholic Church or to Ronald McDonald House.
