Kendall Mohr

VAN WERT, Ohio - Kendall A. Mohr, 96, of Van Wert, died at 5:53 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
He was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Paulding County, Ohio, to the late Opal (Spicer) Mohr and Alfred E. Mohr.
His wife, Ursula (Dougal) Mohr, died Nov. 5, 2008. They were married Dec. 31, 1939.
Survivors include children: Sandra (Craig) Goddard of Bradenton, Fla., Karen (John) Butler of Van Wert, Keith (Joyce) Mohr of Findlay, Ohio, and Kip (Christine) Mohr, Stow, Ohio; sister: Glendene Van Landingham of Convoy, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Guiles and Ersel Mohr, sister: Elizabeth Brautigam, and a great-great-grandchild.
He was a lifetime farmer and retired from International Harvester, Ft. Wayne, Ind. He was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church, Van Wert. He volunteered with the Van Wert American Red Cross helping with blood runs for 25 years and was a member of Farm Bureau and Grange.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Revs. Ronald Lumm and Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center or Pleasant Chapel UM Church.
