Kenneth Hicks, Sr

KENNETH DALE HICKS, SR., 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born June24, 1938, in Harrisburg, Ill., he was the son of the late Richard and Dena (Colbert) Hicks. He was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He also retired from Magnavox, where he worked as a Quality Control Engineer. He was a member of the Northeast Indiana Kidney Foundation and Cedar Creek Church of Christ in Leo, Ind. Surviving are his wife, Mona L. (Custer) Hicks; children, Kenneth Dale Hicks, Jr. of Arlington, Texas, Richard Patrick Hicks of Seattle, Wa., Byron Todd (Anne) Hicks of Parker, Colo. and Christopher Joseph Hicks of Churubusco; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, Tom Hicks of Evansville. He was also preceded in death by son, Howard Gregory Hicks; sister, Lois McDaniels; and brothers, Rev. Norman Hicks and Erschel Hicks. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Cedar Creek Church of Christ in Leo, Ind. with calling one hour prior. Minister Mike Kjergaard, Minister Greg Krafft, and Minister Dave Altman officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at the church. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
