Kevin Thatcher

Kevin T. Thatcher, 51, of Middle Point, Ohio went to be with our Lord at 1:22 pm on Wednesday February 10, 2016 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. He had fought a hard battle with A.L.S. since February 2015.

Kevin was born on April 26, 1964 to Danny and Phyllis (Wisener) Thatcher who survive of Middle Point, Ohio.

He is survived by his children: Kory Thatcher of Van Wert, Kaylee Thatcher of Van Wert, Julia Thatcher of Van Wert, and Kyle Thatcher of Middle Point; sister: Melanie (Dennis) Miller of Middle Point; Nephews: Dustin Miller of Columbus, Ohio, Austin Miller of Middle Point, Logan Miller of Middle Point and Niece: Morgan (Ben) Warnecke of Waynesfield, Ohio and companion: Teresa DuCheney.

Kevin was a lifelong farmer and loved farming for his dad, uncle and grandparents. He enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends in Michigan and riding his Harley-Davidson across the country. He drove truck for Conrad Trucking, Van Wert, Ohio, and later for Landstar Trucking in Florida.

He was a 1982 graduate of Lincolnview High School. Kevin truly loved his family, friends and life!

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, February 15, 2016 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. Burial will take place at Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.

Friends and family may call from 2-8 pm Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. Also, one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials may be directed to The Kevin T. Thatcher Agricultural Scholarship Fund through Lincolnview Local Schools or Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
