Kim Aren Sargent, 61, of Van Wert, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at his Van Wert Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on August 22, 1962, in Van Wert, to his late parents, Richard and Judith (Bates) Sargent.
Kim, a dedicated and hardworking truck driver for over two decades, will be remembered for his love of the open road.
A man of simple pleasures, Kim found joy in the little things in life. Whether it was fishing or hunting for arrowheads and mushrooms, he cherished the moments spent outdoors. His passion for wrenching on old cars and fixing things reflected his resourcefulness and knack for turning the old into new.
Kim was more than just a truck driver; he was a loving father to his son Kurtis and a supportive brother to his twin brother Kevin, both who survive of Van Wert. He is also survived by sister, Kris Harris of New Haven, IN; brother, Kent Sargent of WI; two aunts and numerous cousins. His kindness, humor, and warmth touched the hearts of all who knew him.
In honor of Kim's memory, a Graveside Service will take place at 2:15 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Woodland Cemetery where Kim will be laid to rest.
Visitation will be the same day, from 12 PM to 2 PM, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, 722 S. Washington Street, Van Wert, OH 45891.
