Kristie Cummings

Kristie R. Cummings, 36, of Van Wert, died at 1:47 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at Van Wert County Hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1979, in Van Wert, to Steve and Janet (Buehler) Alspaugh who survive of Van Wert.
Her husband, David D. Cummings, survives of Van Wert.
Other survivors include her children, Kendall, Kyleigh and Decklan Cummings, at home and a sister, Kelly Hubble of Van Wert.
She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Katherine Buehler Stevely of Wapakoneta, Ohio, a nephew, Asher Hubble and niece, Gracen Hubble, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was a registered nurse with Select Specialty Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She had also worked at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne and the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. She was a 1998 graduate of Van Wert High School. Kristie received her L.P.N. from Ivy Tech in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and graduated with honors from St. Francis in Ft. Wayne as a registered nurse.
Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be directed to the donor's choice.
