Larry Profit

Larry K. Profit, 75, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away at 8:24 p.m. Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Profit was born on April 24, 1940, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to Keith Profit, who preceded him in death, and Eunice (Bowersock) Profit, who survives in Rockford. He married Joyce E. (Beerman) Profit on November 27, 1960. She also survives in Rockford.

Profit is survived by his children, Terry (Vicki) Profit of Van Wert, Gregg (Tammy) Profit of Van Wert, and Mike (Jennifer) Profit of Rockford; a sister, Katheryn Smith of Ohio City, Ohio; grandchildren, Zach (Danielle) Profit, Brock (Brianna) Profit, Kyle (Taylor) Profit, Ryan (Andrea) Profit, Shania Profit, Delayna Profit, Rodney Perry, and Kaitlin Perry; and great grandchildren Braylyn Profit, Bostyn Profit, and Parker Profit.

He was a lifetime farmer in York Township, Van Wert County and also worked at Braun Industries in Van Wert. Profit was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church, Venedocia, Ohio, and an avid woodworker and most importantly loved being involved with all of his grandchildren and their activities.

A service will take place at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory and will be officiated by Rev. Thomas Emery. Visitation will precede the service on Wednesday, December 30, from 1-4 p.m. and will also be held at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Venedocia Cemetery at a later date.
