Lauren Frey

VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Lauren Elizabeth Frey, 16, of Van Wert, died at 10:05 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 4, 1998, in Van Wert. Her mother, Marty (Minnig) Hohman, survives of Van Wert, and her father, Douglas Frey, survives of Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Lauren was a beautiful and loving girl. Unable to communicate through words, Lauren helped teach so many people about life. She expressed her love by smiling at her family, nurses, and therapists. Lauren will be truly missed, but it was time for her to become a beautiful angel in heaven.

She was loved by her stepfather: David Hohman; her grandparents: Frank and Mary Minnig of Van Wert, Ed and Linda Frey of Ft. Wayne, and Lou and Carol Hohman of Delphos. Lauren had a sister, Lindsey and two brothers, Joshua and Jackson.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert. Father Stan Szybka will officiate. Private family burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
