Lillian Hartsock

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - Lillian P. Hartsock, 96, of Chillicothe, formerly of Convoy, Ohio, died Monday morning, Jan. 9, 2012, at the Traditions of Chillicothe Nursing Home in Chillicothe.
She was born March 21, 1915, in Convoy, to the late Nora (Reed) Foley and Orval Foley. She married Lester Slane on April 9, 1932, and he died July 22, 1985. She married Walter Hartsock on Oct. 10, 1987, and he survives in Chillicothe.
Other survivors include her children: Terry Slane of Indianapolis, Ind., Donna Smith of Van Wert, Ohio, Janet (Lowell) Kever of Van Wert; stepchildren: Tim (Patty) Hartsock, Tom (Lucinda) Harstock and Charlotte (Tim) Horton, all of Chillicothe; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Frederick Foley, and sisters: Bernice Putman, Lucille Cox, Mabel Dull, Cecille Allison, Esther Scott and Ruth Burley.
She retired from the Federal Mogul Corp. in Van Wert after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Convoy United Methodist Church in Convoy and had been a member of the United Methodist Women. Through the years she enjoyed family get-togethers, playing cards with her siblings, singing and playing the piano.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at the Convoy United Methodist Church in Convoy. The Rev. Greg Leigh will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy IOOF Cemetery, Convoy.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at the Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home & Crematory in Convoy and at the church one hour prior to the service.
Preferred memorial can be made to the Church Maintenance Fund.
