Lina R. Peters, of Moberly, Missouri, formerly of Van Wert, died Saturday morning, Feb. 20, 2016, at Moberly Nursing and Rehabilitation, Moberly, Missouri. She was born July 11, 1926, in North Judson, Indiana, to the late Nellie (Kellerman) Traster and Paul Traster.
Her husband, Ronald H. Peters, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Frank) McKibben of Moberly, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) McKibben and Melissa (Ben) Williams, and five great-grandchildren, Aaron, Alaina, Abby, Kloe, and Hunter.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Justin McKibben, and two sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of Jennings Road Church of Christ, Van Wert. She served in the role of being a minister's wife which included anything from church secretary or Sunday school teacher to many other opportunities where there was need. She had a servant's heart and always made those around her feel loved and cared for. She loved her family deeply and showed it in so many ways. She will be greatly missed.
Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Dr. M. Ben Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Visitation is 10 - 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Jennings Road Church of Christ Youth Group.
