Linda Bower

Linda L. Bower of Van Wert, died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born Aug. 5, 1939, in Van Wert, to Ruth (Potter) Mollenkopf and J. Edward Mollenkopf. Her parents preceded her in death. Her husband, Jon Bower, is also deceased. They were married in 1957.
Survivors include children, Stacy (George) Adam of Van Wert and Sally (Peter Tarqueno) Penn of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; a brother, Dean (Susan) Mollenkopf of Middle Point, Ohio; a sister, Phyllis Gay of Convoy, Ohio, and her grandchildren, Dustin Penn, Nick Adam, and Alex Adam.
She was preceded in death by a brother, David Mollenkopf.
She retired from General Electric in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Van Wert American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Van Wert V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and Van Wert Elks Auxiliary.
A Celebration of Linda's life will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at the Van Wert Elks Lodge.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory.
Preferred memorial is Community Health Professionals.
