Lisle L. Eichenauer, 88, of Celina, Ohio, died at 5:50 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, where he had been a patient for the past three months. Lisle was born on March 1, 1926, in Mercer County, Ohio, at his home place. He was the son of Roy and Ivy (Albin) Eichenauer. He graduated from Celina High School, and was drafted into the U.S. Army. On October 31, 1948, he married Dorothy L. Rhoades, and she preceded in death on September 28, 1989. Lisle was a farmer in Mercer County and also worked for 25 years in the carbon department at Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina. He was also a member of the New Horizons Community Church in Rockford, Ohio. Surviving are two children: his son, Jerrold (Sue) Eichenauer of Celina, and his daughter, Kathy (Mark) Mason of Huntington, Indiana; four grand children: Matt (Diana) Eichenauer, Amy (Scott) Steinbrunner, Bethany Mason, and Andrew Mason and four great grandchildren: Logan Eichenauer, Hannah Eichenauer, Nicholas Steinbrunner, and Brooke Steinbrunner. Deceased in addition to his wife Dorothy, is a grandchild, Gabriel Mason, two brothers, Clifford and Kenneth Eichenauer, and a sister, Florence Wurster. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Dave Souers officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Friends may call at the funeral home the day of the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to New Horizons Community Church.
