GROVER HILL, Ohio a�" Lois I. Eddy, 87, of Grover Hill, died at 3:12 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born May 22, 1927, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to the late Jennie (Weaver) Wilmore and Dale Wilmore.
Her husband, Lloyd E. Eddy, survives of Grover Hill. They were married June 29, 1947.
Other survivors include children, Kent (Pam) Eddy of Grover Hill, Marcia (John) Laukhuf of Payne, Ohio, David Eddy of Toledo, Ohio, and Mark (Karen) Eddy of Grover Hill, Ohio, her grandchildren, Chris (Rachel) Laukhuf, Tara (Lane) Moser, Melissa (Jason) LaBounty, Scott (Jen) Eddy, Steven (Naomi) Eddy, Sarah (Travis) Mosier, Stuart (Jami) Eddy, Ben (Katie) Eddy, Aaron (Cheryl) Eddy, and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Eddy, a sister, Carol Mae Myers, and a grandchild, Matthew Eddy.
Lois was a homemaker and farm wife for 68 years and worked tirelessly serving her Lord, serving meals, teaching Sunday school, vacation Bible school, and encouraging others.
She loved going to church and was baptized June 25, 2000. Lois had been a member of the former Bethel United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant Church and currently attended First Baptist Church in Van Wert, Ohio.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who truly enjoyed her family.
She loved to travel and especially enjoyed wintering in Florida for 21 years.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, at First Baptist Church, Van Wert, with the Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery Grover Hill.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice or First Baptist Church.
